How I love a salvia. Some might say, a little too much. This Salvia corrugata was purchased from Marwood Maggie earlier in the year. It was love at first sight.
Definitely worth hunting out, if you can keep it (or a cutting) frost free in the winter. Almost worth growing as an annual it is so lovely. That might be a little extravagant!
By ‘quite tall’ do you mean 5-6 feet in cultivation and 9 feet in its natural habitat like it says on Wikipedia? Just planning the planting space for when I get one.
Beautiful colour, will keep a look out for that one,

I don’t think it’s possible to love a salvia too much. I’m partial to Salvia Patens–the blue of the flowers is quite similar to yours.

It looks like my favourite ‘Black and Blue’, but shorter!

That same dark mauve colour, gets quite tall when grown up but is quite stocky.

I will remember this for my new home.

They are so varied too! Such wonderful colours and forms. The only downside really is some are tender. Worth a little cosseting though!

Looking good. The only trouble is, when I told Joe you had visited he said he would have given it you …………

Exactly! Although the ones at Rosemoor weren’t that big, only about 3ft.

One of my favourites too; such an intense blue and textured leaves. Helen

In a way it is rather un-salvia like, don’t you think.
