I am definitely going a bit soft in my old age. Previously a staunch member of the Anti-Pink and Fluffy Society, I am increasingly finding myself attracted to the very powder puff flowers I railed against. This peony flowered hollyhock on the Mantle Estate was not helping my resistance.
Yes, irresistible!

It’s a beauty, alright. I wonder if it’s a syndrome, whereby the love of pink shared by almost all little girls returns to us in our dotage? (Not that you are anywhere near your dotage!).

Perhaps, that is a good theory! Not quite ready for dotage yet, but zooming towards it fast. 🙂

What a beauty! An interesting theory to be sure, but even if I am in my dotage, I’m not quite ready for pink clothes; flowers like this make me think a bit longer though.

Pink and fluffy is a good thing but ONLY in plants.

And who could resist it? It’ s fine as long as you don’ t start wearing it or thinking it’ s a good look for your hair.

Made me laugh! I am often visiting gardens with Alison @papaver and we see something striped, fluffy, sugar-pink or double and we shake our heads and say, we shouldn’t like it, but we do. What’s happening!
