I’m not sure whether buying bigger bulbs is better in the long term. I’d suggest you ask for a greater budget and use it to buy more smaller bulbs. And just plant them deeper.
Le Jardin Rivendell is now totally tulip-free. Don’t miss them. Got 6 litres of Southern Comfort instead of this year’s outlay. Like I shed I doan mish da shulips.
I have one of the crafty colour-changing ladies (I assume they’re ladies as naming a fella “Heuchera” would be worse than “Sue”)! Well she was labelled as “Southern Comfort” but I don’t think her colour-changing’s right though I like her colour in Summer. I also have a fuchsia called “Rivendell” which is the only variety I know that seems susceptible to black spot! π¦
Stunning! Sleep well

Beautiful tulips, I must get more for next year. I have informed (therefore no negotiation) Mr TT I need a bigger bulb buying budget.

Sounds like a good idea to me, just in case you need any back up. I could always write you a note …. π
