Have you stayed in the warm and sorted some photos? I am smug because I have done a few of mine. But poor plants outside, I have snowdrifts over many of mine.
Stay warm. Stay safe. Concentrate on the magical six. I have achieved 5 sixes, 1 one and 2 hangers on. That’s 33. I will shovel and rake more topsoil and grit tomorrow as I await you.
Brutal indeed. If only the snow had come before the double digit negatives rather than the other way round. It will serve me right for pushing the boundaries when I live so far inland. We’re fine, well stocked (including tonic) and haven’t even climbed to the top of the hill yet. Mostly because of the long distance to slither back down.
Me too, but it is no fun if you don’t push your luck. In fact I shall be writing a little bit about that today. Hope you get up the hill soon, or perhaps you are quite happy with your tonic. 🙂
In years past and this year as well, I’ve taken pictures of snow on daffodil blossoms, hellebores in flower collapsed onto snow, snowdrops covered in snow. All of these flowers have bounced back after the temperatures went up and the snow disappeared.
I’ve been snowed out for three days so I’m just travelling home on the train to see what further damage has been done. Put it this way, I am glad it will be dark. I believe the trendy word for such vile weather is ‘savage’.

Stay inside and drink a hot cocoa!

Over here in the UKofGBetc, there’s a drink called a “Hot Toddy”. Involves whisky (usually), brandy or rum. Unfortunately, Gill drinks gin.

Oh I don’t think hot gin would be any good. I do like a whiskey mac though, not hot, but very warming. 🙂

You have just reminded me, I think we may have some in the back of the cupboad somewhere. Might be dated 1998 though!

Hey, we got hail today! It was that tiny bouncy stuff that looks like rock salt! I know; nothing to brag about. It is brutal for us though.

And very painful it can be too!

When we were in Oklahoma, some of the cars in the neighborhood were dimpled like golf balls from hail.

Brutal is the word. And boring. Making a fire, putting on your onesie and feeling under seige is fun for a day. But I want my garden back.
