This is not my sophora. It is full of flower, both potential and actual. It is not tatty. I forgive it for the fact that it is far better than mine. Not that it minds either way, flaunting its buttercup blooms in the winter gloom. I like its attitude.

Why doesn’t mine do this I wonder? It’s gloomy green right now and has never flowered in winter. Happy for you as the flowers are such a cheery yellow 🙂

Actually it makes me feel a little better as I thought mine might be a freak, or doing a “lets flower and then keel over” swansong. Must be the Devon air. 🙂
