Kalmia Karma

This is the flower of a kalmia.  I don’t know which one it is, but what I do know is that it is outlandishly gorgeous.  We have yet again been reminded of the evil that skulks in our world. Perhaps today we can find a little solace in the natural beauty that surrounds us and which also thrives in the good souls of the many.  We don’t need to know their names.  We just need to remember that they are there.

  1. You know that I have a big ‘repertoire’, so I’ll add this; it goes well with your flower 🙂

  2. I have been thinking of current events, too. Sad enough to loose a loved one too young through illness, so terrible that a good person departs this world too young because of the evil of others. My beautiful flowers today are a Deutzia longifolia ‘Veitchii’ and Geranium ‘Irish Blue’.

    1. I was in the lingerie department of Marks and Spencers today. A woman was pushing her toddler around the bra section and he was pointing and shouting “boobies” all the way around. She was very bashful. It was very funny!

      1. Ha, ha. I have a similar story. I know a young woman who is very fit, has a tiny waist and a disproportionately large derriere–a classic “pear shape”. She was in a shop with her four year old son when he announced to all present, “My mom has a really big bum!”
