No sadly, not the kind of outside I would prefer, I was travelling back from Bucks. Have done some pottering in the garden today and have just changed out of muddy and wet trousers!
Why is it that you, and so many others, have such beautiful lichen to photograph and mine is dull grey? Uninteresting, flat, boring! Isn’t rain lovely though? It brings life; perks up the borders, fills the pond that’s been evaporating in the sun, surprises the adder that’s been basking amongst the emerging herbaceousness for a couple of days, to the chagrin of resident cat who seems to know he needs to stay away from his favourite sunbathing spot squishing my Stipa tenuissima. Meanwhile I’ve bought a new camera. Help! (PS, rain also allows me to don my waterproofs. Without rain I’d be sitting here begrudging the spend and getting unhappy. It’s also the best weather in which to apply nematodes.)
It is amazing how quickly the raindrops drop off, I was chasing them around the apple tree, trying to focus in before they were gone. I’m with you on the moss front, love it!
Well, it is Devon and everything is starting to look green and full of potential. We will have more sunny days, I hope.

It was from one extreme to the other! Did you manage to have a day outside yesterday?

Moss and lichen .You wouldn’t have such a lovely photo without the rain drop
I can never understand why people try to get rid of moss

A great macro picture. If I find moss in the garden it gets transferred to the Oriental garden.

Thanks Brian, I love moss and lichen, it does very well in this neck of the woods. Your Oriental garden would be very well catered for. 🙂
