Bacchus

This morning I started a new job.  I think it is going to be a good one.

They have compost bins and a greenhouse.  They said the words “environmentally friendly”.  The soil is free draining.  It is a windy site but has sun.  It is flat.  It is only 20 minutes from home.  I haven’t seen any mind your own business.  They say please and thank you.  Coffee is good.  And this little chap lives there.

Hail storms notwithstanding, it was good a start.  I think it is going to be a good one.

  1. Congrats! I would say the best part, after my experience, is being close to home. Daily commuting on long distance transforms people in zombies!

  2. Nice. Tho commissions on the south end of Whales might involve a closer approximation to the ancient art of grape appreciation. Just saying…….. 🐱

  3. Free draining soil? In North Devon? What a gem!
Enjoy it, and the statue, but hope you will still have time to meet Rusty Duck and Moi before Christmas.

  4. How lucky are these folk ! The figure bodes well, and if the coffees good…. Let’s hope she bakes a mean Victoria sponge.
