On Planet Gill, at this precise moment in time, the westerly wind is ushering the rain up the road with a slightly disturbing ferocity.
Best thing is to draw the curtains and turn my focus to the Cornish daffs, which have been slowly opening over the last couple of days. An enchanting reveal of their golden glory.
Cute yellow ones

Lovely, I must look up Cornish Daffs, nothing shouts ‘Spring is on the way” quite like a Daffodil.

It is just a daffodil grown in Cornwall, where they are traditionally harvested. It is where I come from so added joy.

And you can buy them cut in great bouquets? marvelous.

Usually a cheap little bunch of closed blooms, for me it is the herald of spring.

I rarely buy cut flowers but make an exception for daffs and a little later, tulips. 🙂

Definitely time to buy daffs and tulips. It will be at least 2 months before we see any in the ground here.

That’s beautiful – it will be weeks before they flower up here in Edinburgh but thanks for the reminder of what to look forward to
