I’ll see your salvia and raise you one more. Salvia fulgens, hard to beat, but perhaps you know something different?

Glad you are feeling better :))
Great Salvia! (all I know different but not a Salvia, is Lobelia cardinalis).

Lovely! I’ve never had any luck propagating plants by taking cuttings. I think I need to sign up for a class.

Another of your little gems, I love it but my favourite was Salvia buchananii, a cerise/magenta shade. I don’t have it at the mo but I keep having a peek at the Dysons Nurseries site where there are just a few little temptations. Salvia ‘Summer Skies’ is still flowering away here, beautifully blue in the autumn sunshine yesterday.

I think I may have that one …… just starting to flower, will try and get a photo in the next couple of days and you can confirm. If so, I will take a cutting for you.

Oh, Thank you, it was one of my treasures that did not survive the move down from Yorkshire and a replacement would be lovely.

You are a lady after my own heart. I seem to have fallen into the Salvia trap also. Keep seeing so many more that I just have to have, might need to order Chilterns seed catalogue this autumn!
