Clients beware.  This is what happened to the unfortunate who suggested that I might plant Cotoneaster horizontalis in their garden.  For the sake of my dear and most sensitive readers I have shown you the silhouette only.  Some might say “harsh”, but I would say “fair”

  1. Please can I put in a good word for your much hated shrub, the bees love their little flowers and I love to hear the busy bees enjoying the nectar.


      1. Well that is a challenge to grow one that looks good, did not that GGG Christopher Lloyd mention them in his books and I have certainly seen them looking (yes) great at Great Dixter. Trailing over and up walls is best, not as planted around car parks where they cannot shine.
