Enjoy the gin and anticipate the tea! Bergenias are one of my “failure” plants. I’ve used them in planting schemes for business parks – where they thrive on the minimal care they receive – but cannot get them to grow in my own garden. Polyanthus, on the other hand, are like weeds here, popping up everywhere except where I want them. So I have to put up with half of your combo. But I’m not complaining as they’re a riot of colour on their own.
