Bergenia ‘Wintermarchen’ and self seeded polyanthus. A good combo if ever I saw one.
Off on my adventures for a few days, hold the fort whilst I’m away.

Enjoy the gin and anticipate the tea! Bergenias are one of my “failure” plants. I’ve used them in planting schemes for business parks – where they thrive on the minimal care they receive – but cannot get them to grow in my own garden. Polyanthus, on the other hand, are like weeds here, popping up everywhere except where I want them. So I have to put up with half of your combo. But I’m not complaining as they’re a riot of colour on their own.

I will! They are big self seeders here as well, almost a nuisance, but not quite. I will wave when I cross the border x
