How I love a salvia. Some might say, a little too much. This Salvia corrugata was purchased from Marwood Maggie earlier in the year. It was love at first sight.

Definitely worth hunting out, if you can keep it (or a cutting) frost free in the winter. Almost worth growing as an annual it is so lovely. That might be a little extravagant!

I don’t think it’s possible to love a salvia too much. I’m partial to Salvia Patens–the blue of the flowers is quite similar to yours.

It looks like my favourite ‘Black and Blue’, but shorter!

That same dark mauve colour, gets quite tall when grown up but is quite stocky.

They are so varied too! Such wonderful colours and forms. The only downside really is some are tender. Worth a little cosseting though!

By ‘quite tall’ do you mean 5-6 feet in cultivation and 9 feet in its natural habitat like it says on Wikipedia? Just planning the planting space for when I get one.
