Hi Gill. Can you settle an argument (well sort of mild discussion)? How do you pronounce this one; is it a hard ‘K’ or a soft ‘SSSSS’?

If you were a Roman I think you might say “K”, I say SSSSSS, but what do I know? Can I have my cider now please?

Be neutral, Gill! Pronounce it “p” (as in “plumbago” 🙂
Or suggesting a hard “SS” as in “hiss” might also save you taking sides.
