A hard day at the coal face. I’m very tired. Here is an aster. And yes I know it is now called bobsyouruncle or jackinthebeanstalk or symphonicorchestra but I can’t quite remember which. So today, and most likely not for the last time, I am calling it an aster.
Aster

Damned botanists.

It was looking stunning yesterday, and although I scrabbled around I couldn’t find a label, so just aster it is. 🙂

Aster today, sedum tomorrow! And is it now Cotonesymphiotrichum? Discombobulating.

Or even a Michaelmas Daisy! The famous gardener William Robinson use to call them Starworts.

I am a big fan or Mr WR, I might even start calling them Starworts in his honour. Thanks!
