I’ve been a bit dippy lately. Dippier than normal. Last Saturday I mislaid my house keys. I had been embarrassingly (to OH anyway) counting out a tonne of small change in a local cafe and forgot put them back in my purse. Luckily we were reunited without too much stress. In the week I forgotContinue reading “Dippy”

Petit Pain
Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Bun, or should I say The Grandbuns. Yesterday morning a freshly baked petit pain joined the family. I wish the little one happiness and health, love and kindness, and of course lots of laughter in his life xx
Six on Saturday – Forlorn
Well Mr Prop you’ve really done it this time. It has been my first day off for a while. We have been away, dodging showers in Cornwall, and before that we had visitors to entertain, with more due next weekend. How have I spent this glorious nugget of a free day? Enjoying an aromatherapy massage,Continue reading “Six on Saturday – Forlorn”
One More
A window of relief from the rain. A relentlessly flowering Inula hookeri. A bee taking full advantage.

They were several weeks out of date and had been liberated from the bargain bin. But this was no ordinary bin. It was a WaitroseContinue reading “Bargain Bin”
Enough?
Fed up with “bee on flower” photos yet? Surely we can fit in just one more before the season is over? Bee, borage, background of calendula. Job done.
Penstemon ‘Pensham Plum Jerkum’
For various reasons, I haven’t been to Bill and Ben’s garden since the beginning of the summer. It was nice to be back. It was also lovely to see Penstemon ‘Pensham Plum Jerkum’ looking quite beautiful.
Six on Saturday – Wet and Dry
My week panned out as follows: wet, dry, wet, slightly soggy, sunny. It could have been worse. I might have had a leak in both my boots and my waterproof trousers. Luckily it was only one of the two. Gardening has been done, but unfortunately none in my own garden. Which possibly will not comeContinue reading “Six on Saturday – Wet and Dry”
